New to boat fishing I have a 14ft semi v aluminum boat I'm gonna lay out jugs and then fish some baited holes. What are some things to put on the boat to make life easier ? Anything and everything what do y'all use ?

A towel with a clip ring or something similar so that you always have a towel closely to wipe your hands.
Marker buoys if you like to use them
I've seen pictures of something made out of PVC that makes running trotlines easier---its horseshoe shaped, goes over the side, and supports the main line while you run it.
Milk crates----they're always good for storing something, especially jugs if you use pool noodles
If you can either quickly or quietly switch out shells, you can bring home almost anything.

A lot of terry clothes, a cooler to keep the fish in you can fill up used 2 liter bottles with water and freeze them and use them as a substitute for ice. An additional smaller cooler to put your shad/cut bait in. A fillet knife and fillet board to cut your bait up.

The first thing in my boat is a good dip net. A cell phone.

a mistake I made when I first started out boating was just got the boat and took off without reading the boating regulations ... be certain you're aware of all the boating laws and get life jackets and use them ... throwable life preserver is required in oklahoma also ... may also be required in texas as well. But be sure you've got all your safety equipment before you ever put it in the water... fire extinguisher .. whistle or horn ... whatever texas requires because if you get in trouble you want to be able to attract attention for help if needed. I think it important to keep my bait alive until it;s cut as well ... if you can set something up for that you'll be way ahead. The instructions to keep shad alive all day is on my web site tips section ... just click on aerator I and II and it tells all you need to know on how to keep shad alive... just go to www.catfishing.tv and it's all there. Hope this helps minnkota deck hand 40 if it's in the budget ... they are great and keep you from working hard at all .. especially with the remote switch you can lower and lift anchor from sitting in the driver's seat and ya don't get the mud in the boat or have to rinse it off best that you can by swooshing it around because the anchor never enters the boat during the whole trip... everyone that goes out with me that owns a boat always say "I gotta get me one of those!!!" it's the one thing that I can't live without when out catfishing as I move a lot and having to lift the anchor by hand each time is brutal. Lots of bad reviews on the cheaper kind so I'd go with the minnkota ... yyou'd never regret buying one.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
