I used to fish the old iron bridge up behind the old Aero Valley airport west of Roanoke. Don't know if you can even get back there anymore since the bridge washed out years ago. Caught channels and Apps and tons of crappie 1/4 mile below the bridge in the big rock hole. Also west of 377 there is a concrete levy that you could walk to. Big hole below the levy that all kinds of fish would stack up against early in the mornings feeding frenzy on bait fish. Hand dug earthworms put many a channel in my basket both places. Best when the water is muddy.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

I cannot see Denton Creek being a good spot right now as it has been cut off from Grapevine lake due to eater conditions for several years now.
