My plan is starting to come together....please read and tell me what you would put in this room to take advantage of what is new (technology and or furniture) and what is classic (turn table, retro bar look - or even an industrial look) to build a super unique room that will be a more usable man cave.

15 years ago I made a man den...it is really a sweet room for a simple media room. As I grow older and use it less I am working to convert this room to a multi purpose room to include working out, project room with AC, versatile room for guests, and of course most importantly hosting killer big game watching parties.

What the room already has - all media and sound components (Denon 7 channel, BenQ projector, killer bar with a sink)

A few things I know I will do

Remove full sectional Sofa that fills the room
Remove Carpeting
Install crown mold around the top of the room with led dimmable rope lighting - all the way around
Installing Cork Flooring (ordered yesterday)
Paint Walls and Ceiling

For furniture I really want everything on wheels or easily moved.

Looking to build rustic a cool long wood top roller bar on wheels that can sit at the back of the room with bar stools behind a smaller couch - when done roll it to the spot I want it to stay as a long high table.

Need to find some unique rustic bar stools x 4

Cool sitting furniture that is super comfortable for 4-6 people in the rest of the room (maybe a small couch and two chairs - not sure)

Small coffee table on wheels - or even foldable.

Weight Bench (free weights and bands)

Trunk for work out devices - I am over lifting big weight - generally am using my body weight to work out.

Throw me your ideas!

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Skip the stuff on wheels and just get your workout via moving furniture. Two birds...

Being a guitar picker/Van Halen fan, I'd like a few of these bar stools in mine. Probably could find them cheaper on ebay.

You pull the sofa and carpet out, then add some solid furniture, concerned about acoustics? I've got a "foam" cushion/workout interlocking type floor in my little multi purpose room, I hate it, and really want to pull it all up and stain the concrete under it, but I'm afraid it'd turn it into an echo chamber when I crank it up.

Regarding turntables, I've got a buddy with one of these turntables. Think if I was going to buy a new one, I'd get this one. Seems pretty versatile as far as what kind of system you can hook it up to.

That's the same turntable I have. I really like it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

build a theater type seating platform that will slide back into itself like the portable bleachers, but make them so that they have 3/4 height backs that fold down on top of the seat when you slide it back and therefore, out of the way. You then just have to throw down some comfy seat cushions and you instantly have your theater room seating for the big game, etc. that is easily moved and stored when not in use. You're welcome.
