Anyone have any experience? Mine started to go off on Friday. I checked the hose and found that it was cracked and deteriorated at the hook up to the alarm switch. Compressor is running fine. I think it might be the alarm. It stated to go off intermintently awile back. Not full volume just real soft. I got it to not sound but turned the compressor off and cleaned the filter and it came back on. Found on the internet where the alarms only require 1 PSI. Is that true? If so the compressor would have be shot before it went off.

Compressor may be running but the diaphram could be busted and is not pumping air. I have had my compressor repaired 2 times, with a kit and about 45 minutes of the man's time. $100 A lot will depend on what brand you have, contact manufacture to see who may be able to put a kit in it or contact someone local that installs the systems.

Not only is the compressor running fine it is pumping air. I have mine set up where I can pop off the PVS pipe real quick and check it. The other way to check is to open the 3rd tank and you can hear the bubbling/gurgling. I listened with the compressor on and off. I have replaced diaphrams before. Seems like you are just prolonging the inevitable. You spend $100 and get another year out of a 3 year $300 compressor.

What brand / model? I have been in my house 12 years and know that I have gone through 3. I replaced diaphrams once but the other times the whole thing was shot. I keep my system well maintained. The septic inspection company even comments about it.
