LFA fishes a team competition once a month. All of our tournaments, on the other Thursday during the month are draw. Members are always fishing with someone new thereby getting the opportunity to learn many techniques, baits, and places. We are are not capped and are always looking for new members to join our other 50+ mostly seniors.

On todays tournament a tremendous amount of fish were caught by the anglers with an outstanding winning weight. The team counts their best 10 fish caught between them. Of course all of the fish caught are measured on a Chek it Stik, recorded and then released. No fish are retained unless someone were to caught a SAL which has never happened.

While members catch a fair share of Lake Fork overs, that is fish over 24", most of the bass are of normal size. For us everything 10" and over counts. Some days a little bass is what saves your day.

This weeks winner, and I am going to list 6 places because of all of the great fish they caught is outstanding. Fork is on. The fish are really not quite schooling but they are definitely biting.

Gary Pardini and John Shinn came in first with 28.00 on 10 bass and Gary had the 24 3/8" lunker weighing on our chart at 8.97 LB.
Charlie Abresch and Charlie Arnold were 2nd with 19.23 on 10 bass anchored by Charlie Abresch 1 7.15 LB.
Mark Talley and Nick Tovar were 3rd with 17.67 on 10 bass anchored by Nick's 5.08 LB.
John Berech and Wallace Dyer were 4th with 17.25 on 10 bass anchored by Wallace's 4.62 LB.
Dennis Bubinas and Stijn Lens were 5th with 15.38 on 10 bass with no lunkers.
Don Overstreet and Gene Shoemaker were 6th with 13.02 on 10 bass with no lunkers.

LFA Members must fish 8 regular tournaments during the year in order to qualify for the Team Championship, and the Major League Fishing Championship.
