The Ray Hubbard Bass Club concluded our season with a 2 day Championship tournament on Lake Texoma. A record number of people qualified so we had our biggest field ever for our Championship. 23 boats came out to fish with us. Lots of small fish were biting but keepers were harder to come by. When all was said and done the DFW powerhouse team of Tommy and Tony Climer came out on top with a two day total of 26.25 pounds. Here are full results and pictures from the two days.

TD Vince Burt was pretty sick all weekend so his partner Mark Werner handled weigh in duties on Day 1. Thanks Mark!

Jack and Fly Scheel weighed 2 for 3.64 the first day.

Our favorite Aggie Jeff Cartwright had 3 for 4.58

Dale Rettman and Kelly Millhollan had 3 for 6.22

First year members Joe Ruiz and Paul Villarreal had a great year with the Club. They had 2 for 5.26

Dennis and Damon Machost had 5 for 8.32

Preston Smith and David Horton had 4 for 6.67

Ronnie Manning and David Simmons had a strong first day with 5 for 11.25

Russell Olds and Matt Jackson also had a good bag with 5 for 11.86. Nice smallies Matt!

Ed and Tyler Ham had a stout 5 for 12.06 anchored by a 5.32 big bass

In stalking position of third place after day 1 were the Climer brothers with 5 for a Ticket friendly 13.10

Rick and Julie Morehouse had an awesome first day with 5 for 15.62

We paid out big bass each day and taking home that honor were me and my partner Chris Atkinson. The largemouth here weighed 5.74 and the smallmouth in the other hand wasn't too far behind it. We had an amazing first day weight of 20.45 for the lead

And now for day 2!

Matt Jackson and Fly Scheel converse about a tough second day.

Let me tell you something mother%&$!@&

Matt and Russell only weighed one on the second day, but Matt was still smiling.

Joe and Paul were back at it on Day 2

Eric and Bart Vidal took over TD duties on Day 2. Great job guys!

James Weir and Jason Hadley rebounded from a tough day 1 with 4 for 8.15

Dale and Kelly finished with a 2 day total of 12.37

Jerry Brown and Tony Schnurr had a 2 day total of 12.43 that included big bass of Day 2 with a 4.22

David Choate and Stan Browning had an excellent second day with 5 for 10.28 and Stan even let us take his picture!

Jack and Fly had a solid limit of 10.86 and finished with a 2 day total of 14.55 and got the last check

Preston and David also had a good Day 2 with 5 for 10.44 and a 2 day total of 17.11, good for 4th place.

Rick and Julie had 3 for 5.76 on Sunday and had a third place finish with a total weight of 21.38, Great job!

Chris and I struggled badly on Sunday and limped in with 2 for 2.51 but ended up second overall with a two day total of 22.96. Here is our picture from Saturday.

You have to be consistent to win a multiple day tournament, Tommy and Tony were the picture of consistency. They were the only team that weighed a limit on both days. Sunday they had 5 for 13.15 and won the tournament with a 2 day total of 10 fish for 26.25 pounds. Congratulations guys!

Not pictured from Day 2 but cashing checks for this tournament were Ed and Tyler Ham with 16.53 and Ronnie Manning and David Simmons with 16.65.

That's a wrap on a very successful 2015 for the Ray Hubbard Bass Club! We finished the year with a new record for members at 125 and also tournament participation. We had 31 boats or more at all but two regular season tournaments this year. What I am most proud of is that despite being a large Club, this is about the friendliest group of people you could ever be around, We have a great time together and it shows. If you want to join a great Club next year, come out to our meeting in January of 2016 and get signed up. Our schedule for 2016 will be out next week. See you next year!
