The Ray Hubbard Bass Club had our fourth members only tournament last Saturday May 12th on Cedar Creek Lake. The weather and water temperatures are both getting warmer and the transition from spawn to post spawn made the big females harder to catch. The wind was up as well making moving around a challenge. 36 boats came out to fish with us. When the day ended the team of Paul Villarreal and Joe Ruiz got the victory with a limit that weighed 16.83 pounds. It was anchored by big bass of the tournament, a 7.16 beast. Here are full results and pictures.

Chris Lewis and Daniel Phillips had one for 1.95

New members Blake Brown and Monteco Hawthorne had two for 3.60

Preston Smith fished with Eddy Wooldridge. They had three for 5.18

Sevy Bartlett and Charles Tea had four for 6.23

David Mulkey and Tommy Yates had three for 6.88

Jack and Fly Scheel had three for 6.90

I told Jack he should have rolled his fish in dirt and rocks BEFORE he weighed it...

Brian Brooks and James Sharp had four for 7.77

THIS is what Club fishing is all about. Mike and Kyler Kizer had four for an adjusted 7.82

Sixth place went to Jason and Tiffiny Letterman with four fish for 13.77

That included their big fish of 5.97!

Fifth place went to Dennis and Damon Machost with a limit that weighed 13.87

In their first RHBC tournament, Chris Butler and Roger Davis got fourth place with five for an adjusted 14.37 that included a 5.51 big bass

In their 700th tournament with RHBC (or somewhere close) Vince Burt and Mark Werner came in third with a solid limit of 14.75 that included a 4.44 kicker

Last years AOY's Andy and Ricky Medina finally fished together and showed us all they are still dangerous. Their limit of 15.34 was good for second place.

It included a 5.69 big girl

Here are your winners! Paul Villarreal and Joe Ruiz weighed in a great limit of 16.83 to take home the prize.

Here's Paul with big bass of the tournament, a 7.16 toad. Congrats guys!

Thanks as always to the RHBC crew of David Simmons, David Mulkey, Tommy Yates, Robert Hitt, Paul Spann and John Bruner for taking care of getting everyone registered, live wells checked and fish weighed and money handed out. Awesome job guys. Our next tournament will be Saturday June 9th at Lake Bob Sandlin. Meeting will be the Thursday before on the 7th at Bass Pro in Garland at 7:00PM. Hope to see you there!
