The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our monthly meeting this Thursday night, May 11th starting at 7:00PM. We meet at Bass Pro Shops in Garland on the restaurant patio downstairs. We will be taking memberships. Membership costs $30.00 per year and includes your entire immediate family. Our Secretary Russell Olds will be the man to see. If you aren't sure who he is, ask someone cause everyone knows Russell!

Topics for discussion this month include the results and adventures from our windblown April tournament on Lake Tawakoni. A lot of us got way more than we bargained for that day. We will discuss the tournament coming up this Saturday May 13th on Lake Palestine. We will be fishing from 6:30 - 3:30. Registration and weigh in will take place at Lake Palestine Resort. Full tournament info can be found here in the Bass Clubs section. Room discounts are available if you are going down Friday night. Lots of hazards out there, so we will review for members not familiar with Palestine. We will also choose hours for our June tournament on Cedar Creek.

We have lots of community event stuff to go over! We will get an update from our FFAC committee on sponsorship's and what is needed. We will get a recap of the Clayton Dabney for Kids with Cancer event that was held on Lake Athens yesterday. We have two more events coming up in June. June 3 is our annual Kids Fishing Derby at Brockdale Park on Lake Lavon in conjunction with the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center. Our Boy Scouts event was moved to Saturday June 17. We need 8 boat captains for that. Participation in either will qualify you for AOY and the Club Championship.
