The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our second meeting of 2017 on Thursday February 9th! The meeting will be held at Bass Pro Garland downstairs in the restaurant on the patio. The meeting will start at 7:00PM.

We will be taking memberships for the year. Club membership costs $30.00 and covers your entire immediate family. When you get there, look for Russell and Matt to get started. If you are new and aren't sure who Russell and Matt are, look for a large line of people, or ask somebody who looks like they know what is going on and they will get you to them. If you are a returning member, and your contact info has not changed, get signed up, pay your membership and you are done. If you are new to the Club, or are returning but have moved or changed phone numbers, e-mail addresses etc., we will ask you to fill out an info sheet giving us your contact information.

We will introduce the Club officers and let you know who you go to and for what reason. We'll go over our tournament coming up next Saturday February 11th on Lake Bob Sandlin. Full information can be found in a separate post in the Bass Clubs section. There is a traffic issue on I30 East Friday night/Saturday morning that we will make you aware of! We will go over one change made to the 2017 tournament schedule last month and another potential conflict that we will need to talk about and vote on. We will talk about how you qualify for Angler of the Year and the Club Championship in November. We will be looking for volunteers to staff the committee for this years Fish For A Cure benefit tournament. We want to get an early jump on that. We already have a few volunteers, but are looking for a couple more. We will choose a ramp and tournament hours for our March tournament on Cypress Springs. Lots to go over!

If you are going to be new to RHBC, or are on the fence about joining us, just come out and listen in. See how we do things. We are a casual friendly group that likes to have fun. Ask questions! No two Clubs are run the same. If you have a new idea, bring it to the table! Come on out and bring your appetite. Wait staff will be there for your food and drink orders. Tip them well!

What's the likelihood of matching up with a partner at the meeting? Do you typically have non-boaters looking for a partner, or does everyone come into the club paired up?

David, there is always some partner shuffling going on at the beginning of the year. Most guys come in as a team, but we do everything we can to find you a boater or non boater and at this time, we hope it's something that will stick all year. You do not have to be a member to come to the meeting. Come on out and see about getting a partner and then join if you like. Let me know if you have any other questions.
