The Ray Hubbard Bass Club had our seventh members only tournament of 2016 on Saturday August 13th at Lake Bob Sandlin. Clouds, scattered rain and lower temperatures made a day of fishing much easier on the body. Another amazing turnout of 39 boats made the trip out to fish. There were a ton of little fish caught with a few bigger fish thrown in but generally, keepers were hard to come by. When all was said and done, Cameron Laing and Patrick Sharp collected their second win of the year and blew the field away by almost 5 pounds with a great bag of 19.79 pounds, that included big bass of the day of 6.38. Tawakoni winners Preston Smith and David Horton had just one on the day, but it weighed 3.62



James Renfro weighed in two for 3.91



Chad and Dale Grace had two for 4.44



The Crawford's, James and James had three for 5.34



Eric and Evan Vidal had four for 5.84

Former Anglers of the Year Dennis and Damon Machost had four for 8.13



Jason Hunnicutt and Travis Reaves weighed a limit for 9.32



Tony and Chris Dougherty had a good showing with four for 10.39



Justin Garrett fished solo and had a top 10 finish with five for 11.20



Ronnie Manning and Capp Peace continued their great year with four for 11.31



That included a second place big bass of 5.87



Russell Olds and Matt Jackson had a five fish limit for 11.37 all caught on Illustrious Action worms!

Finishing just out of the money were Tyler Ham and his guest Ben Culley. They weighed five for 11.46



No strangers to getting checks are Tommy and Tony Climer. Here's Tony with two of their five for 11.75



Finishing fifth was the camera shy team of Danny Ferrell and John Wendell with five for 12.14

Getting out of a mini slump were Chris Atkinson and myself. We finished fourth with five for 13.63



Another excellent tournament for Vince Burt and Mark Werner with five for 13.84 to finish third.



Another team having a very solid year are high school anglers Cameron Macanally and Matt Sprague. They finished second with five for 14.07



Here are your winners! Cameron Laing and Patrick Sharp had a good early bite and then found a school of big fish on a point and wore them out to the tune of 19.79 pounds! Congratulations guys!
