The Lake Fork Anglers 18 th tournament of 2016 will be Thursday Sept 1 out of Oak Ridge Marina.

Registration starts at 5:30 AM at Oak Ridge. The tournament starts at 6:30 AM and runs until 12:30 PM. You have until 1:00 to bring your score sheets in.

Anglers may go out of any ramp they want too.

Results from Aug 18:

Club members caught 114 bass total in very unstable but cool weather. Fishing only from 6:30 AM to noon 30 PM once again there were a lot of fish caught mainly on c-rigs, T-rigs and drop shots. Same old story but it is true.
.

1st place went to Galen Smith with 8 fish for 15.51 and a 4.73 lunker.
We only count the five largest.
2nd place went to Jeff Wilkerson with 7 fish for 11.89 and a 4.83 lunker.
3rd place went to Bob Roberts with 14 fish for 10.68 pounds and a 3.98 lunker.
4th place went to Mike Schupp with 4 fish for 9.45 and the 5.57 lunker
5th place went to Jack White with 8 fish for 8.76 with a 3.25 lunker.
6th place went to new member Wayne Smith with 2 fish for 7.59 with The 6.03 lunker..

We paid 5 places and had 28 anglers fishing and caught 114 fish and lot of them were not quality slots. Only three anglers skunked in this tournament. Some had a lot of success while had none. It is Lake Fork

How are those weights even possible. Because we measure and release, and record on a laminated sheet.

Galen Smith recorded a new 5 fish club bag of 15.51
Mike Schupp tied his all time club (LFA only) lunker at 5.57. and 9.45 5 fish bag.
New Member Wayne Smith caught his all time personal best black bass with a 6.03 and bag of 7.59

Way to goes guys!

The LFA fishes every other Thursday daytime at Lake Fork only. Persons interested in joining or fishing as a guest should e-mail me at sjbasser@aol.com. or PM me on here.

Here is your opportunity to fish with friendly knowledgeable Lake Fork anglers for the cost of a $5 annual dues and a $13 entry fee. Slot fish count. No teams. We are currently at below cap and are looking for a some boaters who will also fill in as co-anglers if needed and we will also accept "guests" who generally get to fish when regular members are away.
Actually none of our guests has sat one out as yet. And we are also looking for co-anglers.

Sometimes Fork is a big question mark. But even though we don't always slay them a few will find them. This week more than a few slayed them
