The Lake Fork Anglers 16th tournament of 2016 will be Thursday Aug 4 out of Oak Ridge Marina.

Registration starts at 5:30 AM at Oak Ridge. The tournament starts at 6:15 AM and runs until 12:15 PM. You have until 12:45 PM to bring your score sheets to be scored with payout and "the rest of the story" to follow. Tournaments cost $13. per angler.

Anglers may go out of any ramp they want too.

Results from Aug 4:

Club members caught 79 bass total in very hot weather. Fishing only from 6:15 AM to noon 15 PM once again there were a lot of fish caught mainly on top waters, c-rigs and drop shots. Same old story but it is true.

1st place went to Jeff Wilkerson with 8 fish for 10.78 and a 6.38 lunker.
We only count the five largest.
2nd place went to Kenny Moser with 8 fish for 10.06 and a 3.17 lunker.
3rd place went to Brian Dick with 3 fish for 9.02 pounds and a 3.64 lunker.
4th place went to Terry Thompson again with 2 fish for 8.14 and the 7.16 lunker
5th place went to Jack White with 5 fish for 8.05 with a 2.61 lunker.
6th place went to Jerry Krone with 2 fish for 6.88 with a 6.03 lunker..

We paid 6 places and had 31 anglers fishing and caught 79 fish and lot of them were quality slots. Five anglers skunked again in this tournament. Some had a lot of success while had none. It is Lake Fork

How are those weights even possible. Because we measure and release, and record on a laminated sheet.

Terry Thompson broke his a;; time club personal best lunker with a 7.16 and his bag with a 8.14.
Jackie price broke his all time bag weight again with 5.93 lb and his all time club lunker was another 5.93.
Mike Schupp caught his all time club (LFA only) lunker at 5.57.
Randy Steele broke his all time club lunker with a 5.80.

Here is your opportunity to fish with friendly knowledgeable Lake Fork anglers for the cost of a $5 annual dues and a $13 entry fee. Slot fish count. No teams. We are currently at below cap and are looking for a some boaters who will also fill in as co-anglers if needed and we will also accept "guests" who generally get to fish when regular members are away.
Actually none of our guests has sat one out as yet. And we are also looking for co-anglers.

Sometimes Fork is a big question mark. But even though we don't always slay them a few will find them. This week more than a few slayed them
