The Lake Fork Anglers 8th tournament of 2016 will be Thursday April 14 out of Oak Ridge Marina.
Registration starts at 6:00 AM at Oak Ridge. The tournament starts at 7:00 AM and runs until 3:00 PM. You have until 3:30 PM to bring your score sheets to be scored with payout and "the rest of the story" to follow.
Anglers may go out of any ramp they want too.
Results from Mar 31st:
The first time this year that we DID NOT get blow off the water. And as usual Lake Fork treated about half of us slim pickens while the other half hit the bonanazna. C Rigs, shakey heads, and drop shots did well.
1st place went to Bob Roberts with a 5 fish at 23.18 pounds anchored by a 7.29 lunker.. 2nd place went to Ray Carter with 3 fish for 14.16 and a 5.92 lunker. 3rd place went to Kenny Moser with 5 fish for 12.24 pounds and a 4.64 lunker. 4th place went to Mac McDaniel with 3 fish for 12.22 and THE 7.70 lunker 5th place went to Jim DeVore with 3 fish for 11.13 with a 5.25 lunker. 6th place went to Randy Steele with 5 fish for 10.04 with a 3.48 lunker..
In addition to the winners the following members broke personal club records:
Ray Carter broke his all time five fish limit at 14.16 and 2016 club lunker at 5.92 Jim DeVore broke 2016 with a new 7.61 bag Larry Johnson broke all time club bag with 10.01 with a new lunker at 5.57 Mac McDaniel broke a 2016 lunker at 7.70 and all time bag at 12.22. Randy Steele broke all time club with a bag at 10.04
We paid 6 places and had 38 anglers fishing and caught 76 fish. Out of 50 possible that's pretty good. Would have been for except for a sudden rash of broken boats.
How are those weights even possible. Because we measure and release, and record on a laminated sheet.
The LFA fishes every other Thursday daytime at Lake Fork only. Persons interested in joining or fishing as a guest should e-mail me at sjbasser@aol.com.
Here is your opportunity to fish with friendly knowledgeable Lake Fork anglers for the cost of a $5 annual dues and a $13 entry fee. Slot fish count. No teams. We are currently at out cap but will take "guests" who generally get to fish when regular members are away.
Sometimes Fork is a big question mark. But even though we don't always slay them a few will find them.
