I thought I'd try hand painting pattern with a regular bristle brush...just for the fun of it. I have WAY more control with a brush than I do with an airbrush.

beautiful work. i think a combination of air brush and bristle is the way to go. again, beautiful work!

I've been using both air and bristle brushes on a few baits lately. I agree the combination produces good results. This particular project was just to see what happened. I did spray the base, but brushed everything else using airbrush paint. I may have to try again with watercolor.

Painted with my watercolor paints and brush. Plastic doesn't respond the same as paper, but you already knew that. Form over function.

awesome skills with a brush. airbrush then details with a bristle brush and you have a shadowbox quality lure. thanks for sharing SW
