Together for a craw from around here
Thanks for looking
Lynn

nicely done. one color you have to add to your arsenal is wicked detail sepia. it's a great toner for all colors and gives a different effect with every color you use it with. especially with the yellows, tans, golds, white, orange

craw without the detail sepia

same colors as the first one but with detail sepia to tone everything down

crackle finish. this looks really cool but is an absolute bitch to do

antique parchment with detail sepia for depth on the clear head and along the back

Thanks for the info as of now I only have about 20 or 25 colors
And that color is not one of them
I am fixing to order some more colors and that will be one of them
I painted that one with detail burnt umber
And a yellow base coat
Thank you
Lynn

Your baits look great maybe one day I will be as good as you and Brad and all the other fantastic painters on here... just learing and trying out new stuff for me and my brother in Tnn...
That's all I paint for and a few friends if they are lucky haha
Thanks again
Lynn

That's an EXCELLENT first try !
I'd like to see more contrast in the shell, personally ...just stronger outlines. But that's just my personal taste. I think Basscat Dad gave some great advice and ideas. Anyway, great job ...I'm looking forward to seeing your future work !
