I have an old jig I'd like to reproduce (not made anymore) but nobody has a mold quite like it. Is the mold making stuff like Larry Dahlburg uses ok for pouring hot lead into? Any other suggestions?

No it is not. That's only for molding plastic.

If it is important like many of my old baits then CAST. Ind. is your answer.
They will make a exact mold for $300 and that is just for one weight jig. Then it will be so much per jig. Don't know if they will let you have the mold?

$300 is a tad steep but I'll keep them in mind. There is one mold that do-it makes that looks close in pictures but I'd really like to see it up close.

I do not pour; but I have the tools to modify. I can put eyes in jigs that have none and change the shape with the grinding tools. I build custom jigs and would be glad to help you if you need me to do anything to a jig that is close to what you like.

I'll do some more research on it and get back with you.

Send an Email to Paul Mullins at baitmaker2000@hotmail.com with a picture and ask if he can make them.

He has made all kinds of jigs for me. All turned out better than I expected.
