I wonder if you could use flocking as hair? It may soak up water though

Can you take a brush and hand paint hairs with darker or lighter color? Then epoxy over it

Im sure I could hand paint the hairs, but I think the time I spent on doing it that way would take to long. I kinda figured out the way to do it with the airbrush but I didnt have the right colors mixed up. I was also running short on time yesterday, I thought I was going to have time to paint another one today, but its probably going to be monday before I have time to paint again.
