Twenty seven bass on this "repainted" lure yesterday...best results to date. All of them came from an old flooded tank dam topping out at nine foot deep.

I use this XD3 pattern whenever conditions are right. Probably gonna do a few more XD3 repaints!
Posted this step by step pattern a while back: XD3 repaint
Keep thinking good thoughts and keep fishing.

And I need a few of those from you to Boisarc. They look like the same bodies I got from you last time, is that correct?

Nope... this one is a real by gosh, StrikeKing XD3. It was stripped and repainted in a pattern I dreamed up one afternoon. I just wish I could get real unpainted StrikeKing blanks...or good KO's of the XD models. I love the blanks but the finish and hardware leave something to be desired...in my humble opinion...sorry StrikeKing, just sayin' smirk. I've done several repaints and refits of their XD's and they all produce very well thumb.

Different lake same results...landed six bass in about 30 minutes along the edge of sparce lillypads growing out to about 7-8 feet on a small secondary point that drops off quickly to 15 foot. The fat bill on the lure makes it a little easier to crawl thru the stems of the pads. Here are a few pics of the catch.

Got a favorite pattern you'd like to have on an XD style crankbait? PM me and lets discuss it.
