Hey guys, I've been reading all your post for the last six months or so. Very interesting. Now I've made a few spinner baits on my own. I just make them for myself, family and friends. I've probably got a lot to learn but here are a few recent ones I've made.

Very nice, keep up the good work. I keep thinking I need to start building my bladed baits and jigs, but I don't know when I would find the time.

Nice job Derl. I have been building them for 50 years. If you need any help or have questions just ask. Thanks for sharing.

They look like fish catchers to me! I have only been making spinners for about a year myself, but I make every aspect of them except the blades and hooks. If you need anything just let me know and I might be able to help.

Yes there is a lot of pleasure in building your own bait and then catching one of these on it.

7 lb. 5 oz.

Nice baits Derl thumb. Judging from the results they catch as good as they look. Been a spinner-bait fisherman since I was just a kid...nothing else like a good spinner-bait bite...love throwing them and building them. Thanks for your post. Keep thinking good thoughts.

How do you close the eye on spinnerbaits? I've seen them twisted. I've heard of split rings on TFF. I know that wire is tough. Does it take a special expensive rig? Should I even worry about closing the eye?

Most to the time I buy my spinner baits with the eye already closed annnnnd some times I buy them with the eye open it just depends on what my customer likes. juggle
