Found this older bait floating in the lake yesterday and decided I needed to refinish it. I don't currently have a prop bait in my tacklebox so it made sense to give this one a new paint job and home in my tacklebox. I still am trying to decide how I want to paint it. I may just go back with

Hard to find a good double spinner....the devils horse is a good one. There an old weather worn one hanging about 20 foot up in a tree on one of my favorite small lakes....guessing somebody was fishing for mockingbirds who_knows. Hope you'll post some pic's of the finished product.

cool. i love finding old vintage lures like that and bringing them back to life. is the wooden one in the pic the bait striped down? you might want to seal the wood before you do anything to it.

Yes that pic is of the bare bait worked on stripping it on my dinner break last night. Funny you recommended sealing it, I had the same thoughts. It is drying right now I am going to take a nap and get up and fire up the brush, gotta paint a ton of baits this weekend and fishing a tournament sat. I am sure glad it's a 3 day weekend.
