We had a great morning trip on Friday, caught bait and caught fish, including this solid ten pounder. Had to go to work so we left them biting about 10am. There were about 5 boats including at least two guides working the flats ,mid lake in 22-30 feet of water. fast moving schools made it hard to stay with them but following the top water action some while soaking live shad gave us a fair amount of action. Other boats around us were doing about the same. My buddy went back out today and had a completely different report. About 40 boats piled on top of each other, doing all the crazy stuff folks do when they get in close proximity. he said everyone was struggling to get on the fish and most of the guides were still working when he left at noon with just two fish. Glad I work most weekends and get to fish during the week.
