I buy a 50lb bag of stock salt at the feed store. About 2-3 cups for 50gal.

Thanks guys. Just wasn't sure if i needed non iodized, table, rock, stock, pool, etc.

Ok does the water softener salt say natural or non ionized? I poked at it at Wal-Mart the other day but I did not see it anywhere on the bag

Mortons Pool Salt, dissolves almost instantly and works like a champ.

I use non iodized pickling salt from Walmart. It's cheap and easy to find. I think 2lbs is like $1 at Walmart

The Clorox brand pool salt at Walmart is really fine and clean.
