Met Robert at Lofers Bend and we were in the water and headed North at 7:20am.
Decided to see if there would be any top water up North, we usually try around the islands first but not today.
Looked all around Cedron and Mckowen area but could not find any top water at all. Tried that for about 30min then switched to slabbing structures. Was able to get at least one fish on every spot we tried but could not get more than 12 and then move to the next one. Most fish were hugging the bottom so close you could hardly see them. A few small schools would be suspended and the only way to get them to bite was to rip the slab up through them. We only marked one good sized school the rest were in the 10-15 range and moving fast. If you marked just a few fish it was worth it to stop and thump them over to you. The target depth was 22-28 fow. Ended the day with some nice fish North and South of the island. A few striper were mixed in with the sandies. All fish catch and release as usual. We caught a lot of fish but had to work for them.

Double for Rob

Nice sandy, notice the graph, not many fish showing but that's all you needed to catch em.
