Been catching LOTS of Whites on RC the past couple of weeks, but just one problem and that's a "good news bad news" story. Good news is that we're catching a LOT and the next year or so looks outstanding. Bad news is that you have to catch about 10 fish to get a keeper. Almost everywhere you fish you'll find first year Sandies and Hybrids that are about 6" long. You literally have to move and move again to find Keeper fish. We've had a couple of limit out trips lately but most trips we've averaged around 35 Keepers and then done some Catfishing. All our fish coming on RSR Silver or Chartruse Slabs in water depths of 15'-25'. Main Lake Points, Roadbeds, and all the normal locations. The Flats have a lot of fish on them but mainly small ones. The "Trollers" are picking up a few bigger Sandies and some 16" Hybrids. No one I've talked to has found many good schools of good fish. Hopefully the cooler weather next week will turn on the bigger fish.

Here's some pics of the trips last Weekend and the past couple of days:

Sounds like the flooding is paying off with good spawns.

Had a two boat Party fishing the Windy Monday AM as the Front moved through. No rain made it's way to RC but the Lake was a little rough and we had to hide from the North Wind by fishing the Flats and North Shoreline Points. The eight fishermen caught an estimated 400 Whites/Hybrids but we were only able to keep 72 fish that were of legal size. Again LOTS of first year Whites almost everywhere we fished. All caught on RSR Slabs and Jig Teasers in depths of 15'-25'. Wednesday was a bit better as a twosome caught well over 150 fish and were able to put together a nice box of Keepers. (See Pic) We recommend you cut one of the treble hooks off and close the barbs if you're fishing RC anytime soon. This can help save our small fish population. Thanks!

We have October Weekday openings and even a boat open on Saturday, October 8th. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!

Nice to see a fall bite of any size fish on RC. First one in about 5 years. Good job!

Totally agree with remove the barbs and one hook or replace with single barbless hook. Been doing this for some time now and believe that I do not loose more than a very few fish. Fished Whitney today and caught many small sb and striper. Must have been a really good spawn this year on most lakes.
