I was just wondering if anyone else has been fishing Benbrook lately. I have but with limited success. I bought my first boat last spring and finally got it running by October so this will be my first full season of fishing. I feel like I have learned a lot already but I have a long way to go so if anyone has any advice about benbrook or fshing for whites and hybrids in general I'd be very appreciative. So far we we how only managed to get 2 nice Sandies trolling around Mustang point. I have marked a ton of fish near a drop off there but they don't seem to bite at all. Having a super tough time finding shad. Seriously caught zero in the main lake and about a half a dozen in the back of a creek but I burned about a 1000 calories to get those lol. If anyone has any pointers on finding shad or sandbass there it would help out a lot. I'm still learning to use my sonar and have been using a tablet for GPS looking for structure...it's been so windy lately though terrible conditions for a beginner in a 17 ft aluminum bass boat. Lol. How is everyone else doing on benbrook right now?

If you want to learn Benbrook book a trip with Kerry Dugan (you will find him here on the TFF) and your problems will be solved

Welcome to the forum,,,,
Bb is tough , tough, tough!!!! But when you find em hangon!!!!!

Bb has great fish and a great shad population. Personally i have done much better on livebait ,,
As the weather heats up watch the boats they will lead u,
A note of concern is to watch the trees lots of trees just below the surface
