Made a quick run, as much to run the boat as anything else. Dealing with a stiff 15mph south wind somewhat limited my range. My boat just isn't built for the rough water. Nothing was hanging around the 309 area. Found fish on bottom at pelican and a few of the minor points between pelican and the 309 flats. Seems like we would catch constant for 5 minutes or so then the bite would turn off. Fish really didn't move, just stopped biting. We fished from 4pm to dark and ended up with 42 on the clicker. Most of the fish came on slabs. We did catch a few on #4 mepps fished Dennis Christian style. However, I have real trouble fishing the Mepps in heavy wind. I just can't feel the lure. All fish were sandbass and majority were in the 10"-12" range.

I know big female white bass are being caught up both the creek arms. Heard some really good reports from this weekend. If we don't get a major cold front I think RC will have some really good spring break fishing this year. The striped fish are on the move! Finally.

We fished the Coves and Creek tributaries for Catfish again Thursday thru Saturday due to the strong South WIND. However, had a friend that lives on the Lake catch the first Whites and Hybrids of the year fishing the South Shoreline Points. He and my crew too couldn't get on the Main Lake and fish safely and comfortably. Hope to get out after the rain this week and find the Sandies and Hybrids as they appear to be making their way back to the Main Lake! fish

The fish we were catching were relating to the bottom MUCH more than the pic Royce posted. I just don't have much luck catching suspended fish on RC. Talking to various people and it seems we have fish spawning in the creeks, fish on structure in 15'-25' FOW, and some fish still suspended deep. Guess the fish are just as confused by this weather as we are.
