Me and a new bud put in at the airport ramp this morning. Went up maybe halfway to the rapids and beached. HAMMERED 'EM! We both had full limits by noon, culled for a while and came home. Many of the whites were huge, fat females. The spawn is in full swing. This was the first ever time fishing the Nueces for my new bud, and he had a blast. I was happy to put him on the fish, and hope to have a few more trips down to Three Rivers. All were caught on chartreuse curly tail grubs on roadrunner heads. Minnows were used, almost no effect, except for three channel cats as a bonus.

Great day.

Cool, I used to go there every year with my dad, we would launch our bay boat at the 59 bridge. Haven't been in a decade and the water had been real low so I guess it's back !
