I don't hear much about people fishing below WRL so I would think not, but does anyone have experience there and know if there are sand bass and hybrids below the dam?

With the amount of water that went over the spillway back when we had the heavy rains, Id say there are probably some sandbass below the lake. I fish the Trinity in Fort Worth which gets water from Benbrook and Worth and have caught sandbass, hybrids, and witnessed a buddy catch a 25" striper close to worth dam (not sure where that fish came from but it was indeed a Striper) so if those fish are present in White Rock and as long as water makes it over the spillway on occasion, then Id say the chances are good they are below the lake. The numbers just may not be that great.

At one time when the area below the dam was open you could easily limit in an hour in the area right down from the spillway now , I just don't know.

Yes there will be some white bass below WR Lake but I wouldn't think in great numbers because the white bass in WRL are not a thriving community according to TP&W .Hybrids? ,I think not.If you want to know about a particular lakes fish community ,just go the Texas Alpabetical lake listings by the TP&W and look under that lakes latest survey report. It will tell you all you need to know. 2cents
