Found fish at Dollhouse Point, Game Warden Point, Enchanted Isle Ridge and Spillway Hump in 12 to 18 fow. Caught 55 mostly on #2 Mepps swimming it medium speeds and low to the bottom. Fifty were whites with most going 13 to 16 inches. Three fish were 16/17 inch hybrids, one was a 22 inch hybrid and the other a 15 1/2 inch yellow bass.

This yellow bass was 15 1/2 inches (Camera angle distorts the scale):

Dennis, when you drop down in size to a #2 Mepps, do you continue using your bait casting gear, or do you switch to spinning gear? After reading your posts a couple of days ago, and watching your video on Youtube, I intend to mimic your presentation with Mepps spinners as best I can.

I add a 3/16 oz mash-on weight about 15 inches up the line to make it easier to cast and to make it get to the bottom faster. I stay with the bait casting reel. More often than not I give the #2 a jerk start and keep reeling about six turns of the reel, whereas I usually start the 4 smoothly.

Thanks for the reply Dennis. Appreciate it. Couldn't find number 2 or 4 Mepps in local stores. Placed an order with Cabela's that came in today. Look forward to using your technique.
