I want to learn how to catch striped bass on lake Conroe and would like to know some tips or even were to go on the lake. Any and all help would be appreciated. Also when is the best time of the year to catch them?

I was there a few weeks ago and had really good luck one evening fishing a jump that was near the pin I dropped on the map in the picture. Also just north of that there is a small island. Me and friend caught about 10 whites each in a matter of 45 minutes. I was trolling most of the time with the downrigger down at 10ft. We caught a range of fish off the hump. About 3-4 black bass, 2 drum, 4-5 whites and a 23" hybrid. We were using rattle traps.
