That looks and sounds like a blast! On the air boat, do you drift, anchor or ipilot lock?

Well like I've said before, I think you could catch em in a manhole. Now I know for a fact you can catch stripers in a mudhole. I find those pictures amazing.
I crossed 69 yesterday and the red river sure looked angry and scary to me. Looking upstream you could see what looked like a huge waterfall where the spillway is coming in. I hope anyone wanting to fish that monster makes the correct decision and hires a guide rather than launching a boat. I also hope some of the yahoo's I've seen wading in that swift water in the past stay on the bank. I doubt a life vest will help much other than to help them find your body in Texarkana.
Are you still using the same gear to catch those stripers in that current? I've fished current most of my life in Northern Arkansas rivers and even a small fish can put up a decent fight with some fast current to assist. Some of these stripers you have look like 20 pounders. I'd be afraid they would spool my reel in that current.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

Thanks PK. The river fishing has been great on bait but it's not really how I normally fish so I'm a little out of my element. I'll be glad when the water clears up some and slows down. It's pretty rough below the dam and not easy to fish with the large waves but there are a lot of big fish being caught. I'm drifting the baits in the current and trying to hang with them when you get one on. Some of them get off but lots of big fish the past couple weeks.
