Went to RC both Thursday and Friday. On Thursday I started by going over to the waterfalls only picked up two sandies about 8 AM went to the windsock the water was boiling. Was throwing a chrome rattle trap and was catching hybrids. Keep one another keeper hit the side of the boat and you guessed it off she came. I had to release another 15 as they were under sized. Went over to the wilderness and trolled picking up 20 nice sandies. Then went over to the islands at 309 and the hybrids were stacked in there. Had to release one as it was less than 1/16 of an inch from being legal.

On Friday I again went to the waterfalls there were shad all over at first I thought that they were just doing their thing as I was not catching anything. About 20 minutes later it just went nuts. Again I was throwing my chrome rattle trap. They were all hybrids was catching them ever cast. Picked up three really nice ones, with the last one being the biggest she broke my pole. Got a call from a buddy so I went to get him, he wanted to fish for crappie. We did not find any so we went to the islands there was nothing there. Went across the lake to the wilderness and trolled. We were picking up sandies here and there. I caught a couple of really nice ones got them to the boat, went to lift them up into the boat when my pole just exploded. One got off but kept the other. She was full of eggs.

Sounds like an exciting trip. The big Hybrid should break loose any time. The next few years are looking good with all the 16-17 inch Hybrid this year.

RC is going good right now. Sand Bass are on fire and the Hybrid action is getting better daily. Come on down. You can let out at Fishermans Point and within 10 mins you can be in on the action.

I was there Sunday. If that wind is over 15 that lake can be tough even for my 21 ft boat. I caught a few at the waterfall. The watched the guides tear them up with live bait. I tried until I didn't want to fight my trolling motor anymore. Then took off to Tawakoni. Water there was muddy looking.. Never got a bite. Saw a guide show up at marina with HUGE Hybrids and Sandies. I never even got a hit out there. Ugh! Did something wrong. Long day.

What boat were you fishing out of? I was in the black Crestliner.

Cen texan, I will be out there in a week and a half. I drive a tan Crestliner. I dont think I have seen another Crestliner on the water. I have had this baot for 13 years and still love it.

I don't remember seeing the Camo Boat. But I was pretty locked in on fishing. I love my little Crestliner but getting ready to upgrade just for size. Too many people always want to go with me and I cant carry more then 2 with me. But when its just me its great.
