Well, the title says it all - went out to Lavon for the second trip of the year, and this is the only thing I caught:

It was a beautiful morning on the water, nice and cool. No boats when I showed up, started picking up about 9am though.

I just couldn't mark any active groups of fish. I found some scattered in 22-26FOW at various points around the lake, but couldn't get a bite. Fished deep, points, shallow hollows, humps, rocks, but just didn't see much activity. I also forgot my marine radio, so couldn't tell if anyone else was having luck.

I also noticed what looked kind of like fuzz on my electronics around the 30' mark. Has anybody else seen this? I forgot to download a picture from my 'bird, but I only see it on 2d sonar, and it looks almost like vegetation. It is everywhere I saw the lake deeper than ~33', and it starts about 30'. Wondering if it is a thermocline or something like that?

Water temps were around 65 degrees everywhere I noticed.

On a positive note, I did confirm that my trolling motor is working correctly. I had installed a Powerdrive V2 control board and foot pedal into it (it is an older Powerdrive V1 model). Why you might ask? Now I can save up some money and put an iPilot on it banana - $100 control board for the mod is a hell of a lot cheaper than a brand new TM.

I'll do a write-up sometime and post it in the general equipment thread when I get a chance if anybody is interested.

Thank you for the report. By the looks of it a lot of people are having a tough time out in Lavon. Makes me not want to fish there this Sunday confused

A day getting skunked is better than a day on the couch imo.

It can be disappointing, but it's still worth it just to be one the water for me. fish

Plus, once it does turn on, they gonna be hungry!

+1, neighbor got one LMB and I had one bite. Water clarity was a pleasant surprise. I guess all of the weeds and grass are acting like filters.
