We'll be hitting Eagle mountain Lake for the first time tomorrow, anybody got any suggestions were the Sandies might be. or a good spot to try out for any fish as far as that goes?. Never been on Eagle mountain so this will be a adventure, leaving out early in the morn. Thanks,

We fished em today. Caught some sandies early on chartreuse ghost minnow slabs on main lake flat south of pelican island. Then trolled umbrella rigs and hell pets and picked up most of our fish from 17 to 24 fow closer to the dam. Last week we caught some on hell pets around the power plant discharge in 18 fow early am. We marked fish every where today. Surprised we didn't catch a boat load. Finicky lately.

Had a guide trip saturday. Been off lake for 6 weeks due to some surgery. We would find fish on scope and catch a couple and they are gone. Having to grind a trip out. A few hybrids starting to show up. Not seeing any concertaion of fish except little catfish, they are everywhere. Sandbass are just not stacked up. It was sure nice to get out. If anybody wants to get in on the fall fishing give me a call. Should get good in a couple of weeks. Johnny

I actually saw them start busting shad on top over near the dam about 7:30ish Saturday.. Only lasted about a minute and they were gone.. Is it me or did the lake look like it's getting ready to turn over? Lots of crud on the sides of my boat from Saturday..

The lake looked nasty today with low wind. Foamy and with floaties. Surface temp 78 degrees.
