Went out Saturday afternoon and found occasional shad boils on the surface about 600 yards from the dam in 8 to 10 feet of water. Good action when you could see a boil and get within casting distance before it dissipated. Lots of dinks, ratio of undersized to keeper was 8 to 1. Did not seem to matter what you threw, they bit anything.
Action was weak but continuous, did not seem to increase toward evening. Did not mark many fish on the fish finder, but when I did, they were at 9 ft.
Nice day on the lake, enough breeze to keep you cool, but not enough to raise notable waves. Did not limit out despite staying out 6 hours.
