Went back out Sandbass fishing since the action was so hot before. Ended up catching a 10lb Smallmouth Buffalo on a crankbait?! Here's a video of it all going down. Have caught them on tailspinners while sandbass fishing. It's such a rush getting that first powerful run ... then I cry a little when I see that it's not a hybrid.

Yep, on a Cordell Slab this past fall. 18.27#. It was a blast to reel in, but a disappointment when I saw it.

Yep, caught many on Mepps spinners. Caught 2 in past 2 weeks - one of them yesterday. Both were about 25 lbs and 30 inches long. Here is pic of the one from yesterday caught on a #2 Mepps spinner:

No, but I caught one in the Little Mulberry creek on a gulp bait fishing for bass. Sure thought I had the wall hanger. This thing fought like a champ.

Very cool!! Biggest I've ever caught was on a 1/2oz chartruese single-hook spoon jigging in 60ft of water! The thing had been living deep so long he was ghost white!
Love fishing, full of surprises!
