Cool thanks. I never Target these fish and have not caught very many. When I have they've been pretty small usually when I catch something this size that striped its hybrid. Or I'm told.
I only C&R so I have not spent much time learning the differences LOL

TPW has a guide on there website that will help you identify in the futer Thanks for the tip! Stripers vs sandbass is easy as I grew up striper fishing. But there were no sand bass or hybrids back on Mead. Tooth patches and broken lines etc are a thing lol

Very nice sandbass.
Sandbass will calm down when you grab them to get the hooks out, but a hybrid will go nuts until it is back in the water.
