Went to Hamm's Creek Sunday and hit usual spots with not much luck. Raining in the morning with light wind so decided to head down stream to mouth of Nolan and managed one 3lb stripe. Not wanting to give up we made the run on into Whitney and hit a few points, marked a few but no takers so we hit one more point about 1/4 mile from bridge and got into them. Striper and sandies together slabbing off the bottom in 25fow. Good sized stripers with the biggest at 12lb...Good day after all

Thanks for the report Rob and I have been fishing Whitney a lot lately. You answered the question of are they up the river yet. We were there yesterday not far from the bridge and caught good sized sb but no keeper striper. Wind blew us off the lake in the afternoon. Found sb from State Park to the bridge but only an occasional keeper striper. Suspect that the cold this week will change the pattern.
