Fortunate enough to get the kitchen pass for the day so I inivited bunch of friends but everyone was busy. Everyone except Richard, a Vietnam Vet. I have not know many who loves fishing as much as Richard. And the best thing about Richard is he is a great person and a hoot to be around.

Our target was Tawakoni so we woke up early hoping for some top water but we were foiled by some very NICE Wills Point resident. But our luck would quickly change when we hit our first fishing spot. When I saw what I saw, I immediately knew we were gonna catch bunch of fish! Is it a bird, a plane, or Supermam? Close! It was the great Matt Cartwright. I told Richard that guy is better than your new 12" Onyx fish finder. Maybe better than your self deploying 112V trolling motor.

With smiles on our face and friendly waves, we nudge in and started fishing. I really tried to stay up wind but I guess Lake Guide got his limits and tired of our enthusiasm when we catch a fish larger than 10" (out typical LL fish), he moved on. Weather was great, no bananas for snacks, barometric pressure was cooperating, and the moon phase was perfect for fishing.

Got back at our meeting point at 4 and my brother was there. He's heading out for some LL fishing and who are we to decline his invitation right? Twist my arm and off to fishing we did. Well, LL isn't Tawakoni but she didn't disappoint. Alright, that's my awesome day of fishing. Hope all my fishing days are like that except for the encounter with WP peeps. Have an awesome weekend all!

Nice report and great pics, Gas. I rarely say no twok invite. But in Houston now for a family wedding. Weather here is in the high 80s like dallas, and low only in the 70s. Not favorable for flounder catching. But good wedding weather!
