Weathers cools down a bit. Fish belly are full of body fat. Taste better. I'll try to stock my freezer for the winter during October. Ive gutted some those fish and already seeing small sacks off eggs. It won't be long now till they are full of eggs again.

Fish caught during the winter are fat and big. Look very nice but has lots of eggs and are void of fat in side their belly. I eat them but don't really enjoy the taste that's why I like to go to Arkansas for the winter. There's other fish that I also catch to take their place when they are void of fats and don't taste nearly as good as them fish I am catching now through October. Just to name a few walleyes, kentucky bass,crappies,rainbow trout,and pikes .

Amen to that. I'm tired of fishing at night. It's too hot for me to fish during the day in 100 deg plus heat and no breeze.

And......If your Lucky.......you can catch them 4 at a time!!

That's crazy man. I've caught a lot of three's but not yet 4 or a full house. Fun to see a mess of fish reel in on those umbrellas. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I agree October can be a good fishing month although this year it might be warmer than normal.
3 is the best I have done. Sometimes multiples are easier to reel in than you might think. Instead of working together they seem to work against each other.

October can be a great month for sure, depending on where you are fishing. Personally, I rank May as the best overall fishing month on the calendar just about anywhere in the Northern hemisphere.
