My sons are both playing in an all star tournament in Grant, Ok. Im wanting to take my boat with me and do some fishing in the down times. Texoma is about 1:15hrs away from grant. ive caught a lot of sand bass in my 4yrs of fishing but no big striper. Im looking at staying at hideaway cabins. does anyone have any other lake recomendations or other places to stay at texoma? im willing to travel an hour and a half but dont want much more than that. i dont want to miss any games. pat mayse and lake hugo are closer but from what ive found neither offer striper. my father will be with me and id like to get him on some striper as well. any help is greatfully appreciated

Texoma is probably the only lake meeting your criteria. It would be best if you could setup a short trip with a guide to learn the lake and how to fish it, then go on your own using what you have learned.

good luck on the big T, I've heard it's been tough, but if you choose to take a guide trip I highly recommend striper express.

IF you want big stripers Tawakoni is producing much better than Texoma right now.

If it ain't yours don't mess with it!

Pat Mayse lake looks super close. TPWD says the White Bass is Good (not great).

Okay, I guess Dan-O wasn't too far off.

From Grant, OK to Texoma it's 80 miles
From Grant, Ok to Twok it's 90 miles
From Texoma to Twok it's 90 miles

All this is just round numbers with good directions.
