All trips was grind it out like that. Look like to me it is getting in the summer hell pet stuff. Time to go to the mountains but I can't go just yet. dang it. Johnny

I wish you could teach that logic to the majority of fisherman at the lake to EM's North.

I've only seen the Sandbass schooling once this year out there. It's been strange.

My son can't really focus enough to fish any other way so it works for us. I still get a charge hooking up on a big hybrid.

I am just talking about trolling for sandbass. Stripers and hybrids are big enough to give you a fight when trolling . Just not sandbass. Eagle Mountain has never been a real good lake for surfacing fish. But they have surfaced more this year than I have seen in the last five years. Which is still not saying a lot. I did see them surface one day from 8 till 1 in the afternoon. Had not seen that in years. Johnny

I went yesterday just to run the boat and get sunburnt, it was a goat rope with the countless sailboats and wakeboarders. but its to be expected, I was marking fish and tons of bait in the middle of carter slough at 3pm. I guess they are starting to get attracted to loud music and bikinis

Carter slough was full of boats anchored and partying so I don't know how you weaved through all that.

What boats were y'all in? I was in a Green Ranger Sunday. Little ways south of the island I was picking up quality sandbags chunking a chartreuse bomber slab until it broke off. But it was slow. But slow with 14"+ sandbags made it better. Boat gave me a fuel alarm so I quit between 2 and 3.
Would love to get into the schooling action as of 3-4 years ago.
