The fishing on Lake Livingston and the river below the dam is incredible right now. The surfacing action is nonstop and we are loading the boat up quick both mornings, evenings, and any time in between. Now is the time to fill the freezer so give us a call!

Chris, is old 190 roadbed clear enough to fish for whites?

The roadbed area is starting to clear up and is becoming fishable. The cleaner water is further east in the kickapoo creek area and thats where the fish are stacked.

Should have talked to you last week. I spent Thursday thru Sunday on the south end of the lake.
Not much happening. Found a few at drop off SE corner of island and early Friday morning on the flat in front of Wolf Creek Park. The Lump (or the Hump, have heard it called both) totally empty of fish. Did notice that the water looked much better when I drove across Kickapoo in the truck headed home.

Yes sir Mike they go where the clean water in on wet years. We launch 90% of our trips out of the state park and fish the south end on dry years, but these last two have been exception

Man yall have it good down there with good lakes. Looks like very few guides down there too and the one that circled and fished near us, he didn't catch much at all. Don't wanna mention his name on here

Chris Not knowing the lake very well, which ramp would you recommend to launch at and not have to run a long distance?

You can either go lake livingston state park, browders marina, or beacon bay. All are good ramps. South end is clear as of now, but may muddy up soon from rains.I caught fish yesterday from 8-15 feet if that helps narrow it down for ya.
