Planning a last second weekend camping trip and going after stripers and hybrids. we usually go to tawakoni but the camping there is all booked up. Anyone having any luck at Cooper? I heard the rains muddy up that lake and turn off the bite? Any suggestions on any good lakes to try this weekend? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I'll try to narrow it down... Looking at Whitney, Richland Chambers, and Cooper? Any ideas??

Don't know much about cooper but Whitney is beautiful and loaded with striper. Chambers has a great white bass and undersized hybrid bite right now.

Thanks for the feedback, it's hard to decide what's good anymore with all the rains. just trying to decide which lake to hit.

The water turned muddy from yesterday's rain, still going to get on the water when the old man gets out of bed. Catching bait at the discharge side of the spillway is too easy. Walk out onto the concrete walk way, throw your net, as soon as it hit the water, pull it in. Word of advice, use a 4 ft net, if you let it sink, it will be too heavy to pull in. Threadfin shad are in there thick, approx 4" long. Lots of people fishing on discharge side.

A man should be able to saddle his own horse and kill his own snakes.
