Heading to Beaver Lake this weekend for a week. Main target is trying to catch stripers on topwater. Will be staying Coppermine area, Any general areas or creeks to concentrate our efforts would be much appreciated. Thanks, Richard

Here are a couple of posts from some Arkie guys the last couple of days. Might help some.

Definitely shallow. Cumberland prayer jigs cast into the brush put several striper in the boat today

I was out for a few hours also, caught 3 big shad around 10inches, put them behind the boat around Ventris. Right about sunset the first one got hit and the knot failed and took the hook. 2nd on was 15lb striper made it in the boat, 3rd one hit while I was playing the second one and the line wrapped the engine cover and broke off 20lb test.

Big gizzards were up shallow around the Islands.

Buddy of mine tears them up on a fluke this time of year in Indian creek. Glimmer blue and white

One fluke or a Donkey rig?

Donkey rig is awesome

???? ^^^^ (Whatever that is. I never heard of it.)

That is all I could find right now. I don't know any more than that. I hope you have a great trip!

Jeff

Donkey rig is pretty popular lately. Have yet to try it but seems pretty straightforward on what it is trying to achieve.
