What does wind direction do to the fish? I've done pretty good with south winds but as soon as they shift to north or east I can't find them. What am I missing?

Just my observations that north winds are associated here in texas with fronts passing through,
probably causing barometric changes. South winds are stabilized weather patterns, associated with
mostly unchanged or high pressure. I'm no weather man for sure..but I dont like north winds either.

So.. Wind stays out of the south for a couple weeks and fish are easy to find and catch then a front comes through. Wind changes direction for the next two weeks. Now I have no luck finding fish, much less catching. I understand the wind change is associated with a front and that pressure is different before and after. But how do I change my tactics to adjust? Finding them in groups on points and bumps with south winds. What areas do you look to find them after wind shifts?

Wind from the West : fish bite best
Wind from the East : fish bite the least
Wind from the South : fish have an open mouth
Wind from the North : build a fire and watch NetFlix

Like south wind on one of my lakes....10-15 out of south gets shad on the north shore....fish follow the bait, easy peasy. Same 10-15 and I wont even venture on one of my fishing lakes. The other lakes.....not too particular.

When I could only fish on Saturdays I learned you could catch fish no matter what direction the window d was.

Wind direction and fronts can be explained by Murphy's law, especially for those that can only get out on weekends.

During duck season when I want a cold front on the weekend a South wind usually blows in real strong, then on Mondays the weather turns Nasty again.

During the spring when I want nice weather all the cold fronts seem to blow in on Fridays.
