Hey all, I'm new to this forum and have a question I am hoping some of you here can help with.

I'm looking into possibly doing a little striper fishing on Lake Texoma in early April. I will be chartering this trip, as I have never gone after striper before. How is the fishing in early April? I've been reading that they start going upstream to spawn this time of year...Can good striper fishing still be had this time of year?

Also, if any of you have any recommendations for guide service, please let me know.

Much appreciated!

-Dustin

April is very iffy. March is when they run up rivers & creeks to do the dirty! May & June are when they get going. However! Since the floods all predictions are out the window. Several guides in here to choose from.

Hey Dustin! Time will tell what the Spring will have in store for us at Texoma this year. The flooding last year threw us a curve ball for sure and it's still tough fishing, as you can tell from the lack of reports. These striper will begin to head back into the lake once "they get it on" and the water warms up and they will be hungry. The annual gill net survey will be out in the near future, as it is every year, and that will let us know what we've got to work with. Keep tabs on this forum and everyone will post what's up.

Go now, dont wait...
