Trolled the river mouth again with minnows and artificials this morning. Still no whites. I'll try later in the week. Hopefully I'll find them before too long.

A lot of the white bass don't go up the river but instead go to the back of coves that have running creek in them. You may want to try there the water is a little warmer.

yes, I briefly tried Tom creek a week or so ago, looking for warmer water. That's the only creek I know about. I'll give it a try again this week. Thanks for the tip. I need all the help I can get so feel free to share your advice.

Did real well today fishing under the birds at the well off Mystic Shores. Lots of very large whites and 2 keeper stripers using large live minnows. They started feeding around 8 and stopped around 9:45. Fished the same spot Monday but the wind was so bad I could not keep my bait down. Found nothing upriver or at the river mouth Monday, did not try today.

Thanks for that info. I'm going to the Nueces tomorrow, but I'll try it Friday
