You always hear about the white bass runs on the Sabine or Neches this time of year. I'm pretty sure they have to run on the Sulpher River above Patman. Anybody have any info or experience? I know it's pretty high right now.

Yes it can get crazy. There were probably thousands caught last march when the creeks were up. They were everywhere.

River is still up a bit but down significantly from December and January. Its been a long time since water was that high during deer season.

If it comes up again Im sure there will be a good run in March. Just not sure about now but with the warmer weather and high water, who knows.

I remember catching a ton in November one year when I was looking for crappie up in one of the wright patman creeks. Caught quite a few in spring in the same creek. If they're in creeks they've got to run up the sulphur River.

Can you put a boat in at the 67 bridge at Naples right now?

I can't decide wether I want to take the chance there or go down below the spillway at Patman in the morning.

Nope on White Oak for me. Water is almost back in the creek. Looks good but no bites in about an hour of fishing. Their either there or not. Usually find out pretty quick.
Didn't try Sulphur.

I chose to go down to Perky instead. I might try this Saturday afternoon.
