Though I have been spending more time at PK for obvious reasons, I thought I would post a report on Lake Granbury. Have had several trips on Granbury in August and September and they are all about the same. Numbers of small stripers can be caught on live bait on the lower ends. Fish are congregated near Blue Water Shores on the channel ledge or near Decordova subdivision near creek channels. Some days they will surface but not too often. Sandbass are better near town and are schooling in the am most days. Biggest striper on Granbury in the last month was around 24 inches. Most are 18 to 21 inches. Were catching a lot more numbers of fish before the May rains, but there are still good fish to catch (many were sent down river to Whitney in my opinion). Thanks to the Parkers today for dealing with the Labor day boat traffic. Had several throw backs but ended up with some for their labor day meal.

They should have plenty of stripers in Granbury. Lots of them went over the dam at PK when the gates were opened.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

The best catches have been on the lower ends recently. We have the Brazos River Authority moving water, so a current release from PK has muddied half the lake as of 11-4-15. Still have clear water on the lower ends for now. Hopefully they don't release more water pulling the mud all the way to the dam. With the predicted rains tomorrow, anything is possible.
When releasing water, fish move to near channel ledges/breaks and may not be where they were when there was no flow. Each day is a new adventure.
Right now, find clear water and you should be in business
